Process

As an early pioneer in the modern prefab industry, we have developed a team and a process that provides homebuyers predictability and accountability from start to finish. Nationally recognized architects, fifty-plus years of construction and manufacturing experience, one contract, a single point of contact and a predictable budget are just a few of the benefits of building a Wieler home. It has never been easier to own a piece of architectural history.

  1. Secure land for your home. If you looking for land in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area feel free to contact Wieler Realty for assistance in finding the right piece of land.
  2. Pre-qualify and/or secure financing for new home construction. Let us know if you would like us to recommend a mortgage broker.
  3. Select which Wieler home you would like to purchase.
  4. Execute agreement with Wieler Construction to construct your home. Your agreement will include the specifications, budget, and construction schedule for your home.
  5. Wieler Construction begins your project by preparing the necesary site planning, customization, permits, and engineering.
  6. Concurrent on-site and off-site construction (i.e. site prep, constructing your foundation, and manufacturing of the modules).
  7. Delivery and set. We deliver your home modules from the factory to your site and we contract a crane to set your modules on the foundation.
  8. Finish work, certificate of occupancy, and move-in!

The approximate start-to-finish timeline for a standard Wieler home ranges from 6 to 9 months. Certain regions of the United States and Canada may require extended timelines due to factors such as a longer approval process with the local building department (not necessarily specific to modular construction but applicable to any construction method) and proximity to a Wieler home manufacturer. Substantial customization of the design may also result in a longer completion time.
