This Rapson Greenbelt 2 is located on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay, in Prince Frederick, Maryland. The standard Greenbelt design was customized for our clients to meet the following goals:

  • Take advantage of the expansive views of the Chesapeake Bay
  • Provide for possible future use of the home as a bed & breakfast
  • Fit into a maximum building footprint of 40' x 40'

The clients have a panoramic view of the bay from their master suite on the second floor where they can admire the bay view from their hot tub or lying in bed. Every bedroom has high ceilings and a private full bathroom. A private breakfast nook with bay views connects to the kitchen, which has pass-through serving areas into the central atrium, which contains the living room and dining area.

The home includes a finished basement with 10-1/2' ceilings; a media room on the first floor; fireplaces on the first and second floor; clerestory atrium windows facing the bay; exterior rain garden for erosion control; a detached two-car garage including a workshop & full bathroom; and decks off the first and second floors to take advantage of the 180° bay views for outdoor living.
